Ancestor James Dickie:

James arrived in Nova Scotia in 1817 with his wife and two children. He along with his brothers Thomas, Archibald, and William, all from Aberdeen Scotland, petitioned Lt. Governor Dalhousie for land 19 July 1817. The grant of 100 acres each was made to all of them. James edned up on the Gaspe, Newville, Quebec. he died…’ dates as posted here. From a letter written by Catherine Dickie, second wife of James Hickman Dickie, found in this family tree.
