WRENTHAM – Fritz C. “Edgar” Olson, 91, of Garden Lane in Wrentham, died on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Caritas-Norwood Hospital in Norwood. He was the loving and devoted husband of Lillian S. (Apsit) Olson.
Born in Boston’s Dorchester section on July 13, 1915, he was an otherwise lifelong Wrentham resident. He was a son of the late Fritz and Carla (Edberg) Olson. He had attended the Wrentham public schools.
Prior to retiring, he had been a self-employed builder. He had also worked as a foreman in the former Winter Brothers Co. in Wrentham as well.
He loved fun and enjoyed entertaining others while playing the accordion. He was also a favorite amongst his grandchildren and friends as the “Overseer of the Barn at Redbird Farm,” a place where they all frequently gathered.
Mr. Olson leaves a loving daughter Judith Olson of Wrentham, and was the brother of Kenneth Olson and the late Wallace Olson. He was the devoted grandfather of George and Mark Hagopian, Lisa Camosse of Worcester, and Melissa Hagopian of Seabrook, N.H.
Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation in the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St. (Route 1A), Wrentham Center, on Tuesday, May 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 in the Wrentham Center Cemetery.
