This Genealogist

The information contained in this genealogy journal is prepared by Carla Joyce (Olson) Gade, first great-grandaughter of Jennie Lucy Currier & Reginald Walton, and first grandaughter of Virginia Walton & Nelson B. Mitchell, first child of Joyce Virginia Mitchell (Buckley) & Kenneth R. Olson.

Since most of this research is about my mother’s side of the family (many early settlers of New England), I remain maternally grateful.

To learn a little bit more about me, read my poem “Where I’m From”.

  1. Have you run across the name Alexander Murphey born in 1690 in Ireland died in Straban township, York County, PA 5-19-1759. He is at the top of my family tree and I can’t find where in Ireland he was born and did he and his brother James (also born in Ireland) come over together and where they landed and lived before moving to PA
    Any information would be wonderful.

    Hi Carla,
For years I questioned the relationship between the Estys and the Fiskes and could never confirm that yes the magistrates and the witches were connected.!
What a great site you have!

Your site has some great Coffin information – do you know anything about Horatio, Ira and Susan Coffin? They were siblings who appear on the scene in the 1790′s to early 1800′s in Eastern PA and Western NJ.

    Many thanks!
