Eureka! I have discovered a the passenger list for Fritz Olson. I confirmed that this is our Fritz Olson because Carla Ingrid Maria Edberg also traveled upon this same steamer. Here is what this passenger list reveals:

Update: Marriage record shows Fritz Olsson’s mother’s maiden name as Anna Freman and this passenger list shows it as Anna Larsson (as best as I can make it out). Perhaps she was
married as second time after her husband’s death.

Anna Larsson’s home address is listed as Taubegatan 29, Göteborg, Sweden.

Fritz’s friend is listed as Andrew Freeman. Perhaps a cousin?
