Frances Olson (1922 – 2004)

WRENTHAM — Frances J. Olson, 81, of Park Street, a retired registered pediatric nurse, died Saturday in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. She was the widow of Wallace Olson, who died March 13.

Born in Milford on AUg. 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Duilio and Ida (Gregory) Nardi. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and the Framingham Hospital School of Nursing. She was a longtime Wrentham resident.

Mrs. Olson had worked for many years at the former Norwood Hospital, Norwood, now Caritas-Norwood Hospital.

She had enjoyed dining out and taking scenic bus tours.

She is survived by a son, Richard Olson of Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister, Ester Costello of Walpole; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was the sister of the late Eleanor Cahill and Marion Nardi.

A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary’s Church, 140 South St., Route 1A. Burial will follow in Wrentham Centre Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St.
